We are a husband & wife team with over 40 years of combined experience in fine dining & healthy cooking. Both Professional Chefs, we relocated to Ft. Myers from Rhode Island in 2016. We took over the “Body & Soul Cafe” from it’s prior location on Tamiami Trail in Naples, and created a new business venture specializing in home delivered healthy prepared meals.
Christy Boyer has nearly 15 years of experience in Vegetarian, Vegan and Farm-To-Table foods. For 10 years, she was Executive Chef at the award winning “Garden Grille” in Pawtucket, RI. She was also Sous Chef at the highly acclaimed “Celestial Cafe” in Exeter, RI, and cooked at Cafe Luna & as a prepared foods chef at Whole Foods Market, both in Cranston, RI.
Gene Allsworth brings over 30 years of fine dining experience as former restaurant owner, Executive Chef, Food Safety Director (large produce company), & Organic Certification Consultant. In 1999, his restaurant “Trieste” was named “Best New Restaurant” by the editors of RI Monthly Magazine, and was named by Yankee Magazine as a top destination for diners in RI. His food has been featured in several magazines & publications. His resume includes such Rhode Island notables as Executive Chef at the “White Horse Tavern” in Newport, “Raphael Bar Risto” in East Greenwich, and “Amalfi” of Narragansett. He was a Chef at other award winning restaurants in Boston, San Diego as well.
